Oscars 2024: At the 2024 Oscars, Christopher Nolan’s biopic film ‘Oppenheimer’ stood out, securing seven wins, including prestigious awards like Best Director, Best Film, and Best Leading Actor.
Throughout the evening, ‘Oppenheimer‘ clinched seven awards. Christopher Nolan was honored with the Best Director award, while Cillian Murphy took home the Best Actor accolade, and Robert Downey Jr. received recognition as Best Supporting Actor. Additionally, the film received recognition for its exceptional cinematography, original score, and film editing.
Another notable film of the evening was ‘Poor Things’, which earned four Oscars. Emma Stone was awarded Best Actress for her role in ‘Poor Things’, and the film also triumphed in three craft categories: costume design, production design, and makeup and hairstyling.
Emma Stone’s victory was particularly significant as she surpassed the expectations set by Lily Gladstone, who had been perceived as a frontrunner for her role in ‘Killers of the Flower Moon’.
The 96th Academy Awards ceremony took place at the Dolby Theatre at Ovation Hollywood, where Da’Vine Joy Randolph won Best Supporting Actress for her performance in ‘The Holdovers’.
Additionally, Billie Eilish and Finneas O’Connell were honored with the Oscar for Best Original Song, awarded for “What Was I Made For?” from the film ‘Barbie’.
‘Oppenheimer’ led the pack in terms of nominations, securing a total of 13, followed closely by ‘Poor Things’ with 11, ‘Killers of the Flower Moon’ with 10, and ‘Barbie’ with eight.
