Goals from Lionel Messi and Julian Alvarez gave Argentina a 2-0 lead in the first half. Julian Alvarez scored the third goal in the second half to seal the win for Argentina.

Messi scored his fifth goal of the tournament to draw level with France’s Kylian Mbappe for the Golden Boot.

Both Argentina and Croatia started the match cautiously. But then Argentina tightened their grip on the game and beat Croatia.

Croatia had lost just one of their last 12 World Cup matches before playing in these matches. Argentina, meanwhile, has lost just one of their last 41 international matches.

This was Argentina’s fifth time in the World Cup semi-finals. Earlier in 1930,1986,1990 and 2014, Argentina reached the semi-finals of the World Cup. Argentina last won the World Cup in 1986. So it is certain that Messi and his team will try their best to win this year’s World Cup.

Argentina will play the winner between France and Morocco on Sunday.
