Mega Millions Jackpot Soars to $1.55 Billion Until Friday
After Friday night’s drawing ended without a jackpot winner, the Mega Millions jackpot has reached $1.55 billion. Since April, the Mega Millions jackpot has been growing steadily, with no winner for the grand prize. As of April 18th, there have been 31 consecutive drawings with no one hitting the jackpot, creating a total of 31 rollovers.

This year has seen five other Mega Millions jackpot winners, the largest of which was $1.348 billion in January, making it the second-largest prize in lottery history.

The $1.55 billion prize is only for a single winner, who will receive the amount over 30 years unless they choose a lump sum option, which would be approximately $757.2 million. A significant portion of this win will be subject to federal taxes and many states also levy taxes on lottery payouts.

The winning numbers for Friday’s drawing are: 45, 30, 52, 56, 11, and Mega Ball 20.

Besides celebrating the grand jackpot winner, the joy of victory spread to different corners of the country, with Louisiana, Missouri, Nebraska, New York, Oklahoma, Tennessee, and Texas boasting their own $1 million Match 5 winners. Notably, Tennessee and Michigan had their share of success too, adding to the excitement with their Match 5 + Megaplier winners.

Mega Millions offers its thrilling gameplay in an extensive range of locations, encompassing 45 states, the District of Columbia (Washington D.C.), and the captivating U.S. Virgin Islands.

Mark your calendar for an exciting opportunity to win big as the next jackpot draw awaits you on Tuesday night, August 8th.
