Powerball Jackpot winner: A winning ticket in Oregon has claimed the staggering $1.326 billion Powerball jackpot! This remarkable win was achieved by matching all six numbers drawn. The cash value of this monumental jackpot is estimated at $621 million.

The winning numbers for this historic draw were as follows: 22, 27, 44, 52, 69 for the white balls, and 9 for the red Powerball. Additionally, the Power Play® multiplier was 3X.

The drawing, originally scheduled for Saturday, was delayed slightly due to necessary pre-draw procedures. It took place at 2:29 a.m. ET on Sunday at the Florida Lottery draw studio, with the live stream available on Powerball.com.

The final ticket sales pushed the Powerball jackpot beyond its earlier estimate of $1.3 billion to $1.326 billion at the time of the drawing. This places it as the fourth largest jackpot in Powerball jackpot history and the eighth largest among all U.S. lottery jackpot games.

Drew Svitko, the Powerball Product Group Chair and Pennsylvania Lottery Executive Director, congratulated the winner and emphasized the transformative power of such winnings, stating, “Winning the Powerball isn’t solely about hitting the jackpot; it’s about having the ability to turn dreams into reality and foster positive change in the world.”

The winner now faces a decision between an annuitized prize of $1.326 billion or a lump sum payment of $621 million, both amounts before taxes. Opting for the annuity would entail one immediate payment followed by 29 annual payments that increase by 5% each year.

While the Powerball jackpot was claimed by a single ticket, lotteries across the nation remind players to check their tickets for other prize tiers. Nationwide, over 4.5 million tickets won prizes, with seven tickets matching all five white balls to win $1 million each.

These winning tickets were sold in Arizona, Delaware, Florida, Iowa, Massachusetts, Michigan, and Wyoming. Additionally, there were 81 tickets winning $50,000 prizes and 26 tickets winning $150,000 prizes.

This win marks the second Powerball jackpot hit of the year, following the New Year’s Day win in Michigan, where a ticket claimed an $842.4 million jackpot.

Powerball jackpot tickets are priced at $2 each and can be purchased in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Drawings for Powerball occur live every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 10:59 p.m. EST from the Florida Lottery draw studio in Tallahassee, and they are also streamed live on Powerball.com.

The odds of winning a prize in Powerball are 1 in 24.9, while the odds of hitting the jackpot are 1 in 292.2 million.
