Comedian Kathy Griffin was recently seen in Malibu, California, embracing her natural hair and rocking a throwback T-shirt from her 2018 Laugh Your Head Off World Tour.
The 64-year-old star kept it casual during her Tuesday walk, wearing a simple white tee paired with black pants. Her shirt proudly displayed her own tour branding, giving fans a reminder of her comedy legacy. She was joined by a male friend as they walked near her Malibu home.
But what really caught attention was Kathy’s hair — or lack of her usual style. Known for her bold red bangs and polished wigs, the Emmy-winning comedian went all-natural this time. Her forehead was bare under the sunny skies, a big change from her usual glam look.
A History of Hair Changes
Kathy Griffin has never been afraid to shake things up when it comes to her appearance. In 2017, she famously shaved her head in support of her sister Joyce, who was battling cancer and undergoing chemotherapy. Since then, Kathy has often turned to wigs, calling them her “magic hair.”

However, her recent outing showed a more natural, laid-back side of the comedian. It was a striking contrast to her fully glammed-up appearance in a YouTube video she posted on June 19.
Kathy Griffin Turned Down $1.4M “The View” Offer
In the video, Kathy Griffin shared a surprising story with her fans. She revealed she once turned down a $1.4 million offer to become a co-host on “The View” back in the mid-2000s. Sitting on her couch beside one of her wigs, Kathy said:
“I had to turn it down because, at the time, I was making about $10 million a year between touring and my show ‘My Life on the D-List.’”
Griffin explained that taking the job would have meant relocating to New York and giving up the life she had built in Los Angeles — including caring for her aging parents.
Despite having a great relationship with Barbara Walters, she said she turned down the offer respectfully. She recalled telling Walters:
“It’s not that I think I’m too good for this show — it’s the opposite. This show is too good for me. I just can’t make the move right now.”
