DJ Casper, the creator of the iconic dance track "Cha Cha Slide," has passed away at the age of 58.

He was a highly regarded artist known for infusing genuine creativity into his productions.

Born Willie Perry Jr. in Chicago, DJ Casper gained global attention and admiration with his rhythmic creations.

"Cha Cha Slide," originally introduced during aerobic sessions by his trainer Mr. Bachel, debuted in 1998 and later saw an upgraded version in 2000.

The track's popularity soared when featured by Chicago's M.O.B. Records in 2004, topping charts including the UK Singles Chart.

Despite battling bladder and liver cancer in 2016, DJ Casper's resilience and positive outlook remained unwavering.
