On Tuesday morning, Cleveland Browns rookie defensive tackle Mike Hall Jr. was arrested in Avon, Ohio. This followed an alleged domestic incident, according to police reports shared with NFL.com.

Mike Hall Jr. faces a first-degree misdemeanor charge for domestic violence. Avon police reported that they responded to a call late Monday night. A woman accused Hall of pushing her daughter and striking her with a baby bottle. The woman declined medical assistance, and Hall left the scene before the police arrived.

The Browns have acknowledged the incident. They released a statement saying, “We are aware of the situation involving Mike Hall Jr. Mike and his representatives are working with the authorities. We are currently gathering more information and will not provide further comments at this time.”

At just 21 years old, Mike Hall Jr. was selected by the Browns as the 54th overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. Before joining the Browns, he played for Ohio State. In three seasons, Hall accumulated 45 tackles, 10 tackles for loss, and six sacks across 19 games. In the Browns’ preseason opener on Saturday, Hall participated in 29 defensive snaps and three special teams snaps, recording one tackle.
