The Baltimore Ravens have re-signed quarterback Tyler Huntley, placing him on their practice squad. Huntley, a Pro Bowl selection in 2022, is back with the team after a brief stint with the Cleveland Browns.
At just 26 years old, Huntley has spent the last four seasons backing up Lamar Jackson, Baltimore’s star quarterback. Earlier this year, he signed a one-year, $1.29 million deal with Cleveland. However, the Browns released him on Thursday, along with three other quarterbacks from their roster.
Now, Huntley returns to Baltimore, joining two-time NFL MVP Lamar Jackson and veteran Josh Johnson on the active roster. On the practice squad, he will be alongside rookie Devin Leary, a sixth-round draft pick from Kentucky.
In 2022, Huntley earned a Pro Bowl nod after completing 67% of his passes, amassing 658 yards, and throwing two touchdowns against three interceptions in just six games.
Over his career with the Ravens, he has totaled 1,957 passing yards, with eight touchdowns and seven interceptions across 20 games and nine starts. Huntley first joined the Ravens in 2020 as an undrafted free agent after coming out of Utah.
