Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen has been voted the most overrated quarterback in the NFL, according to an anonymous poll of players published by ESPN on Wednesday. The poll cited his occasional tendency to turn the ball over, which has been a point of criticism for the Buffalo star.
But rather than dwell on the negative, Josh Allen chose to focus on a more humorous aspect of the poll. In a lighthearted post on X (formerly Twitter), he highlighted a different result. “So you’re telling me I was voted the #1… best trash talker??? Let’s goooooo!!!” Allen wrote on Wednesday morning.
Indeed, the same poll also recognized Josh Allen as the league’s top trash talker among quarterbacks. One player from the NFC East even remarked, “He’s going to run you over and talk trash after he runs you over.”
Josh Allen is sure to use the “most overrated” label as motivation going into the new season. However, for now, he seems more focused on enjoying the game and blocking out the noise.
The Bills will kick off their season at home against the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday, September 8th.
