Juventus made a strong start to their Serie A campaign with a convincing 3-0 victory over newly-promoted Como at a packed Allianz Stadium on Monday.
This match marked the official debut of coach Thiago Motta with the Turin giants.
Samuel Mbangula opened the scoring in the 23rd minute with a brilliant solo effort, driving the ball into the bottom corner.
The lead was doubled just before halftime when Timothy Weah finished off a precise cross from Kenan Yildiz. The ball struck the inside of the bar before finding the back of the net. Andrea Cambiaso sealed the win with a long-range strike in the final minutes of the match.
Juventus, who secured a third-place finish last season behind Inter Milan and AC Milan, are back in the Champions League after a year-long absence. Their next challenge is an away match against Hellas Verona on August 26.
