Aaron Judge made history on Wednesday, smashing a three-run homer in the eighth inning to lead the New York Yankees to a 10-2 win over the Chicago White Sox. Judge’s blast not only secured the Yankees’ win but also made him the fastest player in MLB history to reach 300 career homers.
He achieved this milestone in just his 955th regular-season game, breaking the previous record set by Hall of Famer Ralph Kiner, who reached 300 homers in his 1,087th game.
Aaron Judge‘s achievement adds another highlight to his stellar career. He is now the 162nd player in history to reach 300 home runs and the 17th to do so as a Yankee. Despite a strong effort from Gavin Sheets, who hit his first homer since June 8 and added an RBI single, the White Sox couldn’t clinch the series, marking their fourth straight series loss.
