Colin Kaepernick Still Training for NFL Comeback After 7-Year Hiatus

Colin Kaepernick NFL Comeback
Colin Kaepernick hasn’t played in the NFL since the 2016 season, but the 36-year-old quarterback isn’t giving up on his dream of returning to the league. Kaepernick recently shared with Sky Sports that he’s still working hard and hopes to make an NFL comeback.

“We’re still training, still pushing,” Colin Kaepernick said. “I hope one of these team owners will give me a chance.”

When asked about the significance of playing in the NFL again, Colin Kaepernick expressed how much it means to him. “I’ve trained my whole life for this,” he said. “Returning to the field would be a significant moment for me. I believe I can bring a lot to a team and help them win a championship.”

Colin Kaepernick had a workout with the Las Vegas Raiders in May 2022. This followed a high-profile workout during Michigan’s spring game, where he showcased his skills in front of fans and his former coach, Jim Harbaugh. The event was aired live on the Big Ten Network.

Colin Kaepernick, a former second-round pick by the San Francisco 49ers, had a strong start to his career. In 2013, he led the 49ers to Super Bowl XLVII, where they narrowly lost to the Baltimore Ravens. During that season, he set an NFL postseason record by rushing for 181 yards and scoring two touchdowns in a playoff game against the Green Bay Packers.

Despite his early success, the 49ers struggled in Kaepernick’s last three seasons. He lost 10 of his final 11 starts with the team. Overall, Kaepernick’s record as a starter was 28-30, with 72 touchdown passes and 30 interceptions in 69 games.

Colin Kaepernick’s journey to return to the NFL continues, as he remains hopeful that his dedication and training will lead to another opportunity on the field.
